This pair of swans, swimming in a pond of duck weed, didn't mind posing for me. The green colour of the duck weed gives this photo a natural uniqueness.

These two ladies were protecting themselves from the sun while watching a fast pitch game. I found it comical and colourful at the same time.

We sometimes look at flowers but we seldom "LOOK" at them. This is the inside of a flower where the life of the plant is. I don't know the names for the parts of this, but I am in wonder over it. A writer I am not.

This wasp walking on a black eyed susan flower made a nice contrast with both of their colours being the same.

When we open our eyes to the small things of what God has given us to enjoy. A spider and his web makes an amazing creation to behold. I had the opportunity to watch this spider for about a half an hour and was totally entertained by it. Even though my photo doesn't give the web design justice, stop and take the time to watch a spider make it's web. You will not be disappointed. Maybe freaked out (because it's a spider) but not by what it was created to do.

I was mooooving along hwy 20 when I spotted this mail box in the shape of a cow and couldn't resist shooting it. I found it really moooved me.

This week I am clowning around.....hahaha.

Around this time of the year, the Killdeer has built a nest on the ground, in open fields or on gravel roads. The parents will pretend to have a broken wing to lure you away from it's nest. As you go to it, to help it, it will run about 10 feet away and pretend to have a broken wing, again. After it feels that you are a safe distance from it's nest, it will have a miraculous recovery and flyaway. This mother was on the nest and wouldn't leave it. She made herself larger than life and squawked at us until we left. You can just see her eggs (they look like little grey, spotted black stones, usually 4 of them) just above her tail at the top of the picture. They are a beautiful golden brown with white and black strips.

This colourful building was at a horse ranch in Mexico that we went too. It's lines, colour and cleanliness is my pic of the week.

With flowers budding everywhere, it is easy to get photographs that are pleasing. These also have a beautiful fragrance (which I can't send).

Here is a female domestic turkey. I tried finding out what type she is on the internet, but wasn't successful.

Here is the male turkey of the first picture I sent. I was driving along Netherby highway when I saw these two. They didn't run or fly off fast when I approached them on foot, which leads me to think, that they are tame and not wild.

I don't know if these are the eating kind, but they sure are willing subjects to photograph.

While working this morning, the mist from the trimmers, combined with the rising sun, gave me a picture taking opportunity.

Last Sunday, the family and I went to the Toronto Zoo. It has been over 30 years since I was there and I was quite impressed with the surroundings for the animals. Here is a small sample of some of God's creations that we wouldn't normally see around here.

This refurbished barn with a beautiful silver lace growing on it's side and a stone wall sweeping from the bottom to the top, is worthy of my pic of the week.

This portrait shot of this "needle pointer", tells a nice story. It's composition, lighting and balance makes it my pic of the week.

Autumn is a wonderful season. We don't have to travel very far to see beautiful colourful scenes. This shoreline shot is my pic of the week.

I purchased some studio lights this weekend and wanted to see how they work. Cecile was busy, my cats wouldn't stay and my dogs wouldn't co-operate. So I looked around and found some willing subjects. Her face was a little stained from years gone by, from playing with my daughter, but she was willing and seemed to be enjoying it as she posed. I hope they bring a smile to your heart.

City sky lines can be interesting. This park in front of Mississauga's city center made a nice contrast.

I was at a PK event this weekend and I took this photo of a guitar waiting to be played. Although it is a little busy, I liked the colour and the "mood" of the picture.

The blessing of the rings. Friends of mine got married and this shot captured the minister blessing their marriage. Joe and Karen, I pray that you will have a long and happy life together.

Hmm, hmm, good.

This Bengal Eagle Owl as having a bad hair day when I snapped this photo.

While it is cold outside, you can always look at pictures and get warmed. Put your imagination to work by standing in this spot and seeing this scene. Ahhhh.

May your light shine brightly this Christmas season.

My son picked up my camera and caught me doing the dishes after our wonderful Christmas meal. I was getting some instruction on how to do them by my father-in-law. It took a while but they eventually got done.

From all of us, to all of you

We hope that you have enjoyed

All the snow, we have had

There is more to come, so....

Let it snow, let it snow...

This shot of Ian studying at Sunday school will make a good scrap book photo.

The inside of an Amaryllis flower. With it's deep red petals, red style, purple stigma and yellowish ovary make for an interesting photo.

Father against Son, shooter against goalie.

Look who wins.

OK..... I'll count to 10 and you guys go hide!

A picture says a thousand words. It can be about timing, feelings, travel, memories, seasons...your list can be endless.

While some people are still in bed where they are warm and comfy. Some of us, although we are a raw breed, are out on a cold, misty, foggy morning looking for that picture to capture.

I photographed this Hummel for insurance reasons and chose it for the pic of the week, just to diversify my pictures.

A calm sea at sunset........

The Loon ready for take off.

My Pic of the Week  is of the Port Dalouse Lighthouse. It was a cold, windy Tuesday....a perfect day to take photos. Actually, any day is a good day to take photos.

Lines, circle, squares, triangles.......Something a little different.

Some people take photos of.....People, Pets, Landscapes, Vehicles, Activities, the list is limitless. Have you ever seen a photo of.....

A Canada Goose landing.

Honk, Honk!

A mosquito on a Solomon Seal plant. Just a reminder that this season is coming up.

While I was at St. John's pond in Pelham these two gooses started to battle. The one had a hold of the other's shoulder with it's beak. It tried to break its hold by flapping its wings against its foe. The sound of their wings hitting each other, water splashing, hissing and the other gooses urging on the fighters was quite noisy. It went on for about 4 or 5 minutes, with the winner chasing the other away. It was an interesting sight to watch.

On my way into work I get to see morning sunrises like this one. It is a beautiful start to the day.

The rain has just stopped. I was walking around my backyard, when I spotted this tiny spider. The breeze wasn't making it easy to photograph, but I did get this one.

I couldn't resist....they are sooo cute.

After a short hiatus, I've restocked my pic's. We didn't have a summer, so we went to where summer is. Here is one from the island of Corfu, Greece.

The colours in this Turkish pottery display was begging me to take their picture. The owner was even more aggressive in wanting to sell an item.

This weathered white deck with a bougainvillea plant coming up through it is my pic of the week.

The Leaning Tower of Pizza is not the only tower leaning in Italy. This is part of the city of Venice. It has quite a few towers  (like this one) that are tilting. It must be hard building on water. A lot of the city is nearly a thousand years old, which they have to work around. They didn't have the technology and tools that we have now. So to me, this is an engineering marvel.

When we where in Mykonos, Greece, this Gypsy child was playing her instrument. Her brother was a few metres away, with a Spiderman weight scale. Both where begging for money to help their family. This image reminds me of what I saw and what other families have to go through to live.

The flow and lines of the umbrellas is pleasing to my eye.

The Start.

Just an "Artsy" image which I like.

Cecile and I went to Allegany State Park, last weekend. The fall colours were out and as beautiful as ever. Here are some scenes that we witnessed.
